Essential Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Graduate + First Class Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Library & Information or Equivalent from recognized University/Institution
Mode of Selection:
Written Test and Skill Test (Computer Literacy)
The Written Test shall be conducted first. The Written Test will be conducted at Dehradun, however the exact date shall be announced later through our website www.iirs.gov.in. However, the Organisation reserves the right to cancel/change the written test date/ venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for written test to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail at least 3-4 week in advance before the test date. Shortlisted candidates for written test will also be able to download their call letters from our portal / website.
Nature of Job:
Library assistant: Acquisition of documents; Cataloguing and classification of documents; Journals/Serial control; Reader’s services; Developing information services/current awareness services; Database management; Monitoring printed and online resources; Digital library/ institutional repository applications; Working knowledge of library management software such as LIBSYS and KOHA,; Online database searches; Website design and maintenance.

The candidates may apply online on the above website from 1000 Hours on 17/11/2020 to 1000 Hours on 07/12/2020. Payment of Application Fee
There will be a nonrefundable application fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and fifty only) for each post applied. Fee may be paid online through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking only through SBI E-Pay facility. one can refer Annexure A for detail payment procedure.
